Change

We all have something we want to change, to better ourselves. But there is only one game changer. That person being Jesus Christ. This whole concept of journaling on a journey is actually the story of ascension back to him. His miracles in my ascension will be central to this blog.

Some of us have written in journals or diaries since a very young age. I started at eight. If you step back you will see over the volumes of your life, patterns of being on top of your game, followed by patterns of being low, when life is hard.

Hopefully, this rollercoaster is on an upward trajectory. That is the plan, anyway–to use the good parts and the bad parts to ascend.

Over the years my journals have caught snapshots of growth, better than a camera could. My words yell out my frustrations and heartbreak. But a few pages over, it is all sunshine as I describe a happy fulfilled life.

I love the words of Christ. His words do something to me on every level. The scriptures are someone else’s Journal Journey. Those who have written about the life of Christ act as a catapult to the next level up. I will be sharing many of these scriptures and my hope is that you will be able to resonate with the sound of Christ’s voice. If it stirs something in you, it is not me doing the talking.

My name doesn’t matter so much, I want people to see through me, to Him. I am the founder of Journal Journeys. Because I will be telling personal stories, I have changed the names of the people involved.

In the next blog, I’m jogging with Sarah and she drops a bomb when I ask her, “how do we change?!”
